Through strategic grants and initiatives, Cerner Charitable Foundation works to support the healthcare industry and veteran communities.
Operation Safe launched in February 2021 as a high-throughput mass vaccination site at Cerner’s World Headquarters lead by a unique coalition of Cerner, North Kansas City Hospital, Liberty Hospital, Clay County Public Health Center and surrounding municipalities. The coalition’s shared goal was to safely vaccinate as many Missourians as possible and serve as a bridge clinic until vaccines could be widely available in retail pharmacies. Cerner Charitable Foundation coordinated the volunteer effort to support Operation Safe. After 32 clinic days, nearly 100,000 vaccinations had been delivered with the support of 4,250 volunteers.
In the spring of 2020, Cerner Charitable Foundation launched Feeding the Front Lines to show support for healthcare professionals and first responders. The initiative partnered with local restaurants to help bolster their businesses and provide meals to essential workers.
